The next lecture in Dirleton Kirk Hall will be by Colin Wren who will speak to the title ‘An Overview of New Hailes House and Gardens’ on Thursday 12th November 2026 at 7.30 pm
The October lecture entitled ‘The Lord Wardens of the Anglo-Scottish Marches’ was given by Wendy Davidson on 14th October. She explained the complicated rivalry between families around the English / Scottish Border and the difficulties in policing them after the battle of Flodden.
THE COASTAL COMMUNITIES MUSEUM IN NORTH BERWICK will close at the end of October
Some of the displays have been refreshed and new ones added for this season. The Museum is open Wednesday to Saturday until the end of October.
